Designing Homes Around Daily Rituals

A good home begins with habits before plans: morning coffee, evening reading, eating together.

Designing Homes Around Daily Rituals

When we begin a home, our first question is not the number of rooms but how the day passes within it. Who wakes first, where is coffee taken, where does everyone gather in the evening?

These rituals form the real spine of the plan. The few steps between the kitchen and the dining table, a reading chair by the window, or a small threshold at the entrance where shoes are removed — all are considered to make daily life simpler.

A home designed around rituals is built around living, not around fashion. That is why it does not age over the years; because it changes together with life itself.
