Atelier Showroom
A showroom that presents a furniture brand's pieces on a quiet stage.
Overview
Designed for a furniture brand, this showroom grew from the idea of presenting pieces not like a store but like the calm rooms of a home. The visitor is invited not to buy but to sit, to touch, and to imagine.
The space was set up as a neutral but never cold backdrop, so that each piece can show its own character.
Design Intention
The intention was to let the space recede so the pieces could come forward. The lighting is soft and directional, as in a gallery; the floor was kept in a single calm tone. The visitor's route flows from room to room like a story.

Material Palette
Micro-concrete floor, smoked oak, and lime wash; a single soft clay tone as the only accent. The materials set a ground for the furniture on display without ever overshadowing it.
- Micro-concrete
- Smoked oak
- Lime wash
- Matte glass
- Natural wool
Spatial Experience
Stepping in from the display window, the noise of the city is left behind. Bands of daylight from the ceiling change the room hour by hour. The visitor slows; sits in a chair, touches a table, and imagines the piece in their own home.
Details
The display plinths were made from the same timber as the pieces, so nothing looks foreign. Labels and prices sit quietly below eye level. The space puts the relationship, not the sale, first.
